Christopher L. Fong

Mr. Fong has over 35 years of experience in the energy business, the last 28 years being with the Royal Bank of Canada where, upon his retirement in May 2009, he held the position of Global Head of Corporate Banking - Energy with RBC Capital Markets.  Mr. Fong has extensive experience and contacts with oil and gas producers, oilfield service providers and utility companies both in Canada and abroad.  He has been extensively involved in energy financing from both a corporate banking and investment banking perspective.

 

Mr. Fong is a professional engineer currently serving on a number of not for profit and for profit entities. He was appointed Advisor to the Alberta Department of Energy's Competitive Review process in 2009 and is currently a member of the Oil and Gas Economics Advisory Council and the Alberta Security Commission’s Petroleum Advisory Committee. Mr Fong is Chair of UNICEF Canada and past Chair of Education Matters, Calgary’s Public Education Trust.
