Edward Chwyl
Mr. Chwyl served as CEO of Marathon Oil Canada Ltd. from 1998 until becoming an independent businessman in 2002, and prior to that was CEO and President of Tarragon Oil and Gas Limited from 1989 to 1998. He is currently Independent Lead Director of Baytex Energy Ltd., a subsidiary of Baytex Energy Trust. Mr. Chwyl was Chairman of Navigo Energy Inc. and its predecessor, Ventus Energy Ltd., from 1998 to 2002, and was also Chairman of Ascot Energy Resources and Oiltec Resources Ltd., and a director of Great Northern Exploration Ltd. and Best Pacific Resources Ltd. He has a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta.
